This past weekend we had a surprise baby shower for one of my closest friends. A is the first of our little group of four to have a baby. She's having a girl, due in about 5 weeks (who, by the way, we've already secretly named Chloe)!
Have you ever planned a baby shower? Well, this is the first baby shower I've ever been involved in planning and it's been so much fun doing so with my good friends K & K. One of my main tasks was to take care of decor (yes!) and it was so amazing to see everything come together.
Thanks to A's boyfriend we were able to sneak in and set up before she came home. The anticipation was killing us when we heard her come in through the garage! She was so surprised and happy when she walked in, I think everyone got a bit teary-eyed.
We served rosé and white wine, and our signature mocktail consisted of pink lemonade, club soda, raspberries and lychees. For dessert we got her favorite, strawberry shortcake, fruit and pink candy. A good time was had by all and I'm so happy we took part in such a special day!
You guys did an amazing job, everything looks gorgeous! By the way, please please please ask your friend where she got the mirror above her fireplace. I've been looking for one just like this to put over my buffet table in my dining room. E-mail me with the info, please!!
