Hello lovelies! Christmas is right around the corner and the hustle and bustle of the holidays have begun, but first thing's first - we need to find the perfect holiday card!
These are some of my favorites from Minted.com. The site offers a wide selection of holiday cards (for any occasion, really) and it's such a fun site to just 'peruse'. It's easy to get a bit lost checking everything out! What makes it so easy to use, is there are filters, so you can be really specific about what you're looking for and find it in no time. You can search by theme, whether you want to include a photo or not and even the shape and color schemes are customizable. What I also really love, is that Minted.com supports independent designers. Great, right?

If you're into photo cards but don't really have much time to get creative, the site has a 'Find it Fast' option. It's great! You just upload your photo and suddenly tons of designs appear customized with your photo - for quick and easy selection.~ NEWLYWEDS ~
The holidays are all about spending time with family and close friends. So if you're hosting for the holidays this year, you'll also find some great holiday menus!

As we settle in to fall, here's a little peak into my instagram feed over the last few months. I'll miss the flowers and relaxing in the sunshine but am looking forward to bringing the fun inside! What are will you miss and what are you looking forward to this season?
P.S. Can you spot my sweet little niece Ava? She's grown so much since that photo!
For the first time today I found a couple of yellow leaves on our deck. Sigh. It really is a bittersweet thing, the transition from summer to autumn. I will miss the endless hours spent soaking in the sun. Sitting in peace with a nice cold drink in hand. I do love September, though. Everything is just so cozy. And I love cozy. Who doesn't love cozy?
It kind of feels like a new chapter, too. So it's exciting in a way. Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to this month. It will begin with a business trip to Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival. Then, it's my birthday. Followed by the baptism of my a-dorable niece! The following week I'll be attending the 3-day online conference, Alt for Everyone! Will you be attending? I may also be working on styling a couple of photo shoots.
I'm also working on revamping my blog. There is a lot of prep work to be done! Time has flown so fast and this blog has evolved quite a bit since the beginning. So the look and feel and some other things need to change in order to reflect that. Some good changes to come, my dears.
It's very likely that your guest bathroom is the smallest room in your home, but that doesn't mean it's not important. This is the one room your guests will come to freshen up and relax for a moment alone, during the festivities. So why not make it a special experience by adding a few nice touches? I love having a beautiful scented candle burning, along with a plush and slightly fancier hand towel. I have a few that are only used for guests (remember Monica in friends with her 12 different guest towels?!). Pretty soap and a nice hand cream make a difference, too. One of my projects is to work on cozy-ing up the powder room by adding a shelf and a nice framed photo. Maybe I'll have a couple of fresh flowers in a mini vase sitting on the counter too. It's so nice when people comment on how they love the hand cream or ask what fragrance is that candle? It just shows these are all small yet special touches that make your dinner party all the more enjoyable for everyone.
